Smooth Brome, Arid
Smooth Brome, Arid
Arid Smooth Brome is specially developed for dryland conditions, offering better drought tolerance than traditional brome varieties. It establishes easily and produces reliable forage yields even in low-rainfall areas, making it perfect for Utah’s semi-arid rangelands. Arid is best suited for hay or pasture on non-irrigated land where long-term persistence is key. A great fit for conservation plantings, erosion control, and low-input grazing systems.

Planting Guide:
Seeding rates are typically 5-10 lbs/acre in mixtures, and about 15 lbs/acre when seeded alone. When smooth brome is seeded in a mixture with alfalfa, the alternate row method will give the best results. Seedings should be drilled at a depth of 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
