Carlton and Manchar Smooth Brome are dependable, cool-season grasses known for their excellent forage quality and winter hardiness. Planting Guide: Seeding rates are typically 5-10 lbs/acre in mixtures, and about 15 lbs/acre when seeded alone. When smooth brome is seeded in a mixture with alfalfa, the alternate row method will give the best results. Seedings should be drilled at a depth of 1/4 to 1/2 inch.
