Brown Flax is grown for its fiber and seed but also provides moderate forage. It prefers well-drained soils and cool growing conditions. Often used in crop rotations to diversify production and improve soil structure.
Planting Guide: Stand alone drill seeding is 30-50 lbs/acre; 50-60 lbs/acre when broadcast; 1-2 lbs/acre in mixes; should be planted 3/4-1 1/4 inch in depth
