Newhy RS Hybrid Wheatgrass is a perennial cool-season grass bred for its palatability, productivity and adaptability to semi-arid rangelands. Provides fair to good forage for livestock remaining palatable later than many grasses. Newhy is well adapted to dryland conditions and performs well on saline dry or wet bottomlands.
Planting Guide: For dryland and irrigated plantings, a seeding rate of 10 to 12 lbs/acre is recommended. If broadcast or planted for critical area treatment, however, increase the normal seeding rate to 20 lbs/acre. Broadcasting on critical areas, those having EC’s over moderate levels, may require as much as 32 lbs/acre.
