Potomac Orchardgrass is a cool-season, perennial bunchgrass known for its high forage productivity, persistence, and rust resistance. It is widely used for pastures, hay production, and erosion control. Highly palatable for livestock and wildlife, though it matures early, making it less compatible with alfalfa for hay. Moderately drought-resistant and shade-tolerant, though it does not match the hardiness of tall fescue.
