Sainfoin, Shoshone/Eski

Sainfoin, Shoshone/Eski

Eski and Shoshone are typically single cut varieties of Sainfoin and are well-suited to the semi-arid and alkaline soils of northern Utah.  Both offer excellent drought tolerance, cold hardiness, and frost tolerant, and high-quality, non-bloating forage ideal for hay and pasture. Sainfoin improves soil fertility through nitrogen fixation and establish deep root systems that help prevent erosion. Perfect for livestock producers and land managers seeking sustainable, nutritious forage that thrives in challenging growing conditions.

Planting Guide:
Stand alone drill seeding is 30-35  lbs/acre; 38-45 lbs/acre when broadcast or in critical areas; 10-15  lb/acre in mixes; should be planted 1-4 to 1 inch in depth
