‘Snowstorm’ Forage Kochia is a newer, improved cultivar of forage kochia bred for even greater cold tolerance and uniform growth. It exhibits better forage mass, and more consistent winter nutrition. Snowstorm also shows promise in high-elevation and northern restoration projects where other varieties may struggle. It’s particularly suited for post-fire seeding and winter grazing systems.
Planting Guide: For wildlife plantings, forage kochia should be used as part of a seed mixture. In mixes, seeding rates range from 0.025 to 0.25 lb PLS per acre. Stand alone drill seeding is 2-3 lbs/acre; should be planted 1/16 inch in depth
