Sugar Beet is grown primarily for its high-sugar root but also provides substantial forage biomass. It prefers deep, well-drained soils and cool climates and can improve soil structure in rotations.
Planting Guide: Stand alone drill seeding is 7-9 lbs/acre; 8-12 lbs/acre when broadcast; 2-3 lbs/acre in mixes; should be planted 1-1.5 inch in depth
