TetraStar Tetraploid Annual Ryegrass produces high quality temporary pasture. Its strong seedling vigor, high yield, and high quality makes it desirable when mixed with clover. The high production capacity of this annual ryegrass also makes it popular for additional feed when short hay supplies are expected. As a cover crop, the extensive roots system of TetraStar makes it an effective catch crop for nitrogen and can help break up compacted soils. It offers many benefits including erosion control, improvement of aggregate stability and increased organic matter to the soil profile. It can be used as a nurse crop with fall-planted legumes such as clover or peas.
